April 2018 Specials

Given how many people are going through profound healing shifts right now, I feel led to continue the March 40-Minute Medical Intuitive Special through April 2018. Today and tomorrow mark the last days to purchase the “Grace in the Workplace Special,” details of which you can find here. April seems primarily focused on healing, with a Reiki Special, too:

40-Minute Medical Intuitive Special

Save 25% ($44) off the usual rate for a 40-Minute Medical Intuitive Reading.

Medical Intuition is the ability to access information about physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health through “reading” the energy field around the body. A Medical Intuitive session decodes the message(s) from soul to body into language your conscious mind can understand and begin to address. It is not meant to replace traditional medical or psychological treatment, and it is not any form of medical or psychological treatment.

Instead, Medical Intuitive readings look for the root cause of continuing symptoms or conditions. Without addressing the root cause, even the “right” treatments or treatment providers fail to find a cure … or … a person continues to experience one new issue after another. By locating the root cause, a Medical Intuitive reading allows the individual to understand what the soul wants, so that healing can move through all the levels, including physical.

$133 (instead of the usual $177) for 40 minutes, if purchased on or before 4/30/18. Please contact me to sign up.

$77 Reiki Special

Save $8 off the usual rate for an hour of long distance Reiki, an ancient healing method rediscovered in the 19th century by the Japanese monk Dr. Mikao Usui. The “Rei” in Reiki stands for “universal” or” spiritual,” and the “ki” corresponds to the “life force energy” known as “Chi” or “prana” in other Eastern systems of healing and energy work such as feng shui, Tai Chi, Qigong, or yoga.

Thus, Reiki refers to “universal life force energy,” “divinely directed healing energy,” or “life energy of a spiritual nature,” with an emphasis on subtle energy fields rather than the physical body. By working on all the different levels, Reiki helps the body to relax into a state that allows optimal self-healing. Reiki can also empower and support intentions and events.

This session can be scheduled for a specific time delivery while you meditate or relax, or I can set the session for delivery while you’re in deep, receptive sleep. Depending on your needs, the hour can also get delivered during an important meeting, travel or other event.

Please contact me to sign up, and share (briefly) what you’d like to support, empower or heal. If you have specific timing in mind, please share that as well. $77 (instead of the usual $85) if prepaid on or before 4/30/18.

Becca Tarnas ~ Dissertation Defense of “The Back of Beyond: The Red Books of C.G. Jung and J.R.R. Tolkien”

This video was yesterday afternoon’s treat following a busy several weeks of sessions, study and synchronicity. I have followed Becca’s graduate work for years, as her interests in the Imaginal Realm, Faerie, Jung, Tolkien, symbols, Story and astrology dovetail with my own. Had my 1998 TBI not rerouted me away from a PhD in English Literature, these kinds of studies would have been right up my alley. Actually, they still are; I just do them in a different way, with different ends.

In any case, this is a fascinating and brilliant dissertation defense. I love how all the academics recognize Becca for “bringing the Soul back to academia.” If you have an hour and 45 minutes, this talk delves into the world I live in, especially these past few weeks. Highly recommended!

Panda Power Animal Awaits the Birth

Even though I have never given birth to my own children, as a medical intuitive healer I have had the great privilege of helping many babies be born. Last night I had a dream of a baby panda. It had climbed way high up into a tree and was looking down and waiting. I received […]

Sand Dunes, Lake and Oak

David and I had another magical Saturday getaway, this time to South Haven and Van Buren State Park, with a synchronous stop at Artes and Craft along the way. As mentioned in the Spring 2018 Update, I’m in the midst of some deep inner metamorphosis related to creativity and healing. This will have direct impact on my Metaphysics of Lyme book, as well as any fiction and poetry that pour forth; however, the details of that change remain unavailable for general public sharing. You’ll see the results when they appear.

Meanwhile, I find it amusing that I began taking Star of Bethlehem remedy, then almost immediately realized I needed to formalize my 12 years of astrology studies with an actual mentorship, and then just this past weekend, I stumbled upon a face cream I’ve tried to replace since leaving Chicago in November 2010: a frankincense and myrrh face cream only available in handmade batches in Hyde Park, Chicago. Or so I thought! After some other essentials for my various writing projects appeared, lo and behold, I found the cream!

And so, just to recap, I’ve got Star of Bethlehem, astrology, frankincense and myrrh. Oh, and an upcoming trip to Bethlehem (PA), the first week of April. By my calculations, I’m due for some gold. Just sayin’. 😉

Anyway, that gives you just a sliver of the layers of synchronicity piling up and peeling away these days. As I said in the Spring Update, if I ever do tell these tales, they will need to go in fiction, because few, if any, would believe them as fact. I can share some lovely photos from our South Haven and Van Buren State Park adventure, though. In fact, Van Buren State Park formed another full circle experience like “my” tree from Discovery Park in Seattle reappearing in my life for Equinox. When we drove into the parking lot of Van Buren, I realized that this was the place I’d gone camping with friends in Michigan back in Summer 2001, shortly before moving to Seattle. All I remembered of that trip were the huge sand dunes that seemed like mountains, or at least foothills.

So this weekend provided another loop back to that same 2001-2002 time period — one of the eras undergoing deep inner healing and reorganization. In any case, here are some photos David took. You can see the lower dunes along Lake Michigan, and the rocky beach:

We decided to climb one of the giant dune trails, which turned out to be about a 70 degree angle in some places. A real heart pumping, slip-sliding workout.

IMG_0157

The photos don’t do justice to the height or steepness of the dunes, but here’s what it looked like from the top:

IMG_0159

All along the rise of the dunes, we saw scattered acorns, as oak trees put down a deep taproot, allowing them to survive on and stabilize the shifting sands. At the summit, we found an enchanted oak forest:

IMG_0160

We wandered around the trails and communed with the trees and Nature Spirits before heading back down for a walk along the beach. The people below give you an idea of scale:

After our walk through the moody elements, we headed to downtown South Haven and made our way to the lighthouse and back:

I have often lived within 1-4 blocks of Lake Michigan, so it always feels like returning to an old friend who knows me well. David and I love all the amenities and options in Kalamazoo, but it sure feels nice to drive a short distance to the Lake! We have both lived in all four states that border Lake Michigan — Illinois, then Wisconsin, then Indiana and now Michigan. We joke that we saved the best for last, at least in terms of our own preferences and experiences. Wherever her shores, I do love Lake Michigan, and I can always feel her pull; despite my notorious non-sense of direction, I know which way is “Lake.” In times of great change and creativity, it feels so good to spend time in or on the water. This long pier with the lighthouse felt almost as amazing as walking on Lake Michigan at Sunset.

Spring 2018 Update

Returning from some quite Otherwordly adventures, I wish you a belated Happy Equinox! I cannot even begin to explain how vastly my inner world (and thus also my outer world) has shifted in the past two weeks. Tania Marie just posted her epic Grand Canyon adventure overlapping some of that time, and I will just say that I’ve experienced something similar in terms of integration, timeline shifts, healing, courage and more. Maybe someday I will tell these stories as fiction, because few would believe them as fact. In any case, the internal shifts have created some lovely external manifestations, which I’ll share here.

During this same time period, I’ve noticed clients growing by leaps and bounds, too, so this energy shift seems available to many. I’ve witnessed people coming out of a fog, reclaiming sovereignty over body and soul, embracing an expanded life path, and many people finally clicking in with deep, nourishing soul mate romantic connections. My work gives me an unusual finger on the collective pulse, as I speak with so many unrelated people in different locations, occupations, and of different ages, education levels and more. When I see trends like this happening around the world, regardless of surface details, I recognize the Mystery with a capital M moving through the mists of time and space.

I’ve had the return of some “old friends,” one on an inner plane, and the other delightfully revealed on the outer plane. From August 2001-October 2002, I lived in Seattle, Washington, a block and a half from a somewhat secret entrance to Discovery Park. Except for six rainy winter weeks, I hiked there every single day during that time period. Always, I paid reverence to a special tree, located at the intersection of three trails. My vision was way messed up due to my 1998 TBI, which had brought me to Seattle in 1999 and then again in 2001 for treatment.

When I first connected with my mystical friend Mitch Mattraw, he told me about a tree he regularly visited in Discovery Park, too. For a long while we thought it was the same tree. Once we compared notes, we realized it was not, but Mitch grew determined to find “my” tree, because I spent so much time with it. A lot has changed in Seattle since 2002, but I figured out my old address and how to direct him to the hidden park entrance and where to find the trail. The night before Spring Equinox, I received this photo:

IMG_8667

My old friend! At first, I wasn’t sure, because my wacky TBI vision had me thinking the tree was larger around, but I recognized its wise energy and the Faery beings around the tree. It’s also the only tree in the middle of the specific trail setup that radiates from the tree. When I confirmed to Mitch, I received a different sort of confirmation from him:

“Just now, hands on your tree, loving it, two owls started up! lol”

This was synchronous on multiple levels, but whenever I try to share those details, WordPress or my photo malfunctions. Mum’s the word, then! Some gifts remain only for the intended recipient. In any case, the two owls hooting right at that time was eerily significant. When I replied to Mitch’s email the next morning, I got another owl/Druid/tree synchronicity via OBOD’s Equinox email at that exact moment. It included an Equinox message, a photo of an owl, and this quote:

‘I do believe in an everyday sort of magic – the inexplicable connectedness we sometimes experience with places, people, works of art and the like; the eerie appropriateness of moments of synchronicity; the whispered voice, the hidden presence, when we think we’re alone.’  ~ Charles de Lint

Indeed! I didn’t notice at first, but at the same time Mitch was emailing me about my tree, I received another email from a client mentioning my earlier posts about owls. She shared that she has barred owls behind her house “that sound like monkeys.” Whenever I experience a positive shift that’s almost too strange or powerful to believe, owls show up in my life. If I don’t see or hear them myself, then people who know me see or hear them at that time and let me know. It’s uncanny, yet consistent, so I take this “return of an old friend” and the three owl synchronicities as confirmation of the deeper stories I cannot (yet) share. I feel awed, blessed and so very grateful.

Meanwhile, on the astrology front, my studies continue in bizarre form. I’m kind of doing calculus before learning basic arithmetic, writing sonnets before learning vocabulary and grammar. The good news is that my theories keep receiving immediate confirmation from people and events. The better news is that the Lyme book and my sessions will benefit from this new found confidence.

The “slow down news” is that I need to back up and learn the basics, so that I don’t pull an Icarus and melt my wings by the Sun. It’s exciting, though. My mentor, Ann Kreilkamp, is brilliant, and she rolls with my strange insights and, um, highly unusual learning style. Much healing continues to radiate from these studies — again, not things I can share here, but whoa … and on so many levels with so many people! It all feels perfectly aligned, which, if you think about it, really makes sense when studying astrology.

I do need to get some of the more 3D awareness, vocabulary and “grammar” in place, which will require discipline. I intuitively “get” charts, transits, houses, planets and synastry, but I don’t always know how to structure that information. The super exciting news is that I recognize in astrology a language that, once learned, can actually communicate what I sense in medical intuitive and soul readings. All along, I’ve read energies, but I haven’t always had a name for them. When people ask me to teach them how to do what I do, I find it so difficult to explain. I don’t know how I do it, I just do it! Slipping into Otherworld consciousness, reading energy, sensing soul wounds and what they need — all of this comes so naturally to me that stopping to consider the “how” trips me up.

As I’ve deepened my study of astrology, though, and with Ann’s mentoring, I now see that the language of astrology offers a way to share what I know in a format people can understand. Obviously, not everyone will “get” it, but at least I can convey one of the how’s through this medium. The other medium, of course, is Story, and that remains a strong passion and calling.

Life in Kalamazoo grows more interesting by the day. I love having a birch grove within walking distance, and many of our 200+ fall planted daffodils have begun poking through the soil. It looks like we might have some tulips pushing through the soil out back. I hope so! I had despaired of planting tulips here due to all the munching wildlife, but maybe nature will surprise me! Inside, we have these beauties, just about to bloom:

IMG_1903

Enjoy the beauty wherever you are!

Blessed be … and be the blessing.

Comment Bump Up and Response

Today’s post comes from a comment left on Friday’s re-blog of “Crossing our own boundaries: consent in the wake of ‘me too.'” I decided to turn the comment and reply into its own post, because this past weekend brought a wave of urgent requests from people for help freeing themselves from relationships with suspected and/or professionally diagnosed cluster-B personality disordered people, energy vampires, and/or black magic. These topics run close to the side issues in “Crossing our own boundaries,” as similar encounters early in life tend to prime someone for these kinds of relationships later in life.

This happens especially often to Empaths, and learning to discern patterns and reclaim sovereignty forms some of the most important healing we will ever do — as individuals and for our broken society. In the biggest picture, yes, All is Love, but at the level of PTSD in body, emotions, mind, soul and spirit, things can take longer to untangle and heal. Here’s the comment, followed by my response:

Comment:

What is the fear of a penis pressed against a bottom? What is the fear of a vagina aching to turn to that pressure? What is the fear of allowing another to touch and lift a leg so that it is extended beyond what one might have thought was possible? I fail to get the victim of what is and what is not love in what is described in this post. I get boundaries and setting them, but when one doesn’t set those boundaries, but trusts and believes that one is safe, regardless, where is the…. victim?

My reply:

Thanks for your comment, Barbara. You are, of course, right in the biggest picture and in theory. There’s a major gap between the theory and biggest picture and someone who has been, say, raped as a child, which happens way more often than most people realize. Add to that sexual predation by a trusted counselor or healer when someone is most vulnerable, awakening from severe mind control or gaslighting, and/or trying to make sense of a rape at any age, whether “random” on the street, or a so-called date rape. PTSD from these sorts of experiences remains until processed out — and that processing does not occur solely on the mental or spiritual level. Full healing requires integration, including the emotions and the body.

Beyond these kinds of physical or mental violations, things like emotional incest happen, such that even though not physical, when someone else starts to push on inappropriate areas, it can trigger a full blown PTSD event equivalent in the body and emotions to actual incest. If we add in suppressed past life memories to the mix, it’s maybe not so difficult to comprehend why these things could trigger someone.

Through my clients, relationships and friendships spread across over four decades of this lifetime, I have encountered an astonishing number of men who were raped or abused as children, women victims of incest, and people who slipped into relationships with therapist, gurus or healers that had a very disadvantaged power structure. If you’ve not encountered any of these situations, then consider yourself blessed. They are profoundly traumatic wounds for much of our society, and healing comes in fits and starts, not a once and done spiritual bypass. Star of Bethlehem Bach Flower Remedy is the fastest multi-level healer I’ve found.

Blessings and love … Laura

Crossing our own boundaries: consent in the wake of “me too”

This is an important post for both men and women. I know so many men who’ve been violated, as well, on many levels, including the physical. These issues are relevant to anyone. As we each become more present and embodied, boundary violations become more obvious. Hopefully, courage to speak up and take action will follow. I’ve found the Bach Flower Remedy Star of Bethlehem quite helpful in dealing with trauma, whatever that means to someone.

One thing I really appreciate about this article is that it addresses the idea that trauma is whatever feels traumatic to the person experiencing it. We are not all the same, and so presence and respect for each person, especially with empaths, is crucial for healing. The painting of Lilith is over the top synchronous, too. Gotta love the how un-subtle those sync’s are when we have eyes to see. Many thanks for the post!

The Oracle of SachaMama

The other day, I went to a yoga class. Many students were in attendance so the instructor had an assistant walking around, adjusting the yogis and yoginis. This bugged me right away when I saw this. I had just been listening to a podcast the night before that discussed students getting injured in yoga classes from overexerting themselves, and it really bothered me to watch the assistant put her hands on people and “correct” them without asking first. I told myself that if she came up to me, I would tell her no thanks. Towards the end of class while in pigeon pose, she came up behind me and started lifting my back leg upwards to make it the full pose. I had purposely not lifted my leg as I was feeling a tearing-like sensation in my knee. But instead of turning around and telling her no thanks, I breathed…

2018: Language, Learning and Lyme

On February 13th, I wrote about learning a new language and reclaiming both physical and metaphorical roots. What an interesting and transformative few weeks I’ve had! Things continue to progress and refine, so I thought I’d share a little update. It all kind of spirals around roots and my medical intuitive book on healing Lyme disease. That project has now reached 70,000+ words, with many multi-disciplinary contributors and my own synthesizing of how that all relates to Lyme disease.

In and around my writing, research and contacting other contributors, I did the first 3-day So Easy Colon Cleanse that I’ve done since 2014, followed by a Scram! parasite cleanse. On the physical level, I prefer to do a cleanse at least once per year, but with my business expansion to the Blue House in 2015, my dad’s March 2016 death, orchestrating my mom’s move and new life, and my recovery from supporting all that in 2016, then our Winter Solstice 2016 marriage, and finishing my permaculture design certificate (PDC), looking for a house and relocating in Summer 2017, the holidays and a new job for David, mid-February 2018 was really my first window of opportunity for a cleanse.

I’ll spare you the details, since I did this as much for metaphysical reasons as the physical, but some interesting things shifted after the cleanse. For one, my urge to learn Welsh underwent a complete metamorphosis. Long story short, I got to the “root” of why I felt led to learn Welsh in the first place, and I realized the current course did not support that why. Listening to Cymraeg (kum-RIGE — the Welsh word for Welsh) reconnected dormant synapses, but I found myself frustrated with purely auditory lessons. Written Welsh features very different letter combinations than English and I primarily wanted to learn old lore. Therefore, hearing Welsh without seeing the visual correspondence to be able to read Welsh felt like trying to read with my eyes closed. In short, it felt like the years after my 1998 traumatic brain injury when I could no longer read print.

I suspended my Welsh studies during and after the cleanse, yet I still felt this urge to learn a new language. Something kept nagging at me. This feeling of being able to hear and speak something but really wanting/needing to read the language dogged me, because “Excuse me, what language if not Welsh have I been dying to read?!” As soon as I dropped the pressure to learn Welsh, Dr. Sharon Blackie announced her year-long Celtic Studies Course: Myth and Tradition. I promptly registered, because the syllabus satisfies the exact craving behind my Welsh nibbles. Around the same time, I also saw and registered for an online course from the Lorian Association— this one about the Sidhe. Bingo again. Both courses came to me with that release and address my real craving for lore.

Meanwhile, the Lyme book continued to grow and morph. I found experts for all the fields I needed, except one — astrology. I have two amazing astrologers contributing relevant; however, despite contacting another six astrologers, I could not find anyone able to or willing to address the specific astrological transits and aspects I’ve noticed again and again in fourteen years of working with Lyme clients. After awhile I gave up trying to find articles online or to trying to find someone else to write these chapters, because hello, brick wall. I can take a hint. I realized it would be much faster for this armchair astrology student to become fluent in reading astrology charts than for an astrologer to become fluent in medical intuitive speaking and reading. Like face-palm-why-didn’t-I-think-of-this-sooner-duh easier.

I began studying astrology in 2006 while researching my first novel, “Schizandra and the Gates of Mu.” Timothy Glenn provided detailed analysis of character Schizandra’s chart, based on the birth date, time and place I “selected” for her. Amazed by how bang on the reading described the character, I dabbled, had readings done on me, dabbled some more, read books and blogs, befriended numerous astrologers, and got to the point where I recognize specific transits in clients just by their energy signature. The only readings I have done on myself are astrology readings, because my own intuition gives me so much information all the time. If I don’t “get” it, then my left brain wants something more concrete than someone else’s intuition.

I might be the only person who turns to astrology for its significantly more left-brained outlook on life than my usual perspective! In any case, I’ve reached a place where I can speak and hear astrology well enough to converse and make sense. I wouldn’t call myself fluent, but writing this Lyme book made me realize I long to and really need to take those language skills to the next level. For both my fiction and non-fiction, as well as to help clients even more, I need to learn to read the charts. Yesterday, I emailed my friend, the amazing permaculturist, astrologer and scholar Ann Kreilkamp, to see if she could recommend any astrology courses. I wanted something flexible, since I need to honor the writing inspiration when it hits, but I also want to immerse myself in this language. Full on fluency ASAP.

To my honor and delight, she offered to mentor me! Since I already speak the language of the soul from seventeen years as a professional medical intuitive and have studied astrology on my own for nearly twelve years, she’ll design a curriculum that gets me up to speed in thorough but efficient ways. This clicks in so many things for me that it would take many lengthy blog posts to explain the how’s and why’s. Suffice to say, 2018 marks a year of language, learning and Lyme, all related to reclaiming roots — both my own and those of people undergoing major initiations whether through Lyme or other soul challenges.

May 19, 2018 marks the 20th anniversary of the traumatic brain injury that forced me out of academia and into a career in the healing arts. Although conflicted about some parts of academia, I had intended to become an English professor and a writer, but the injury left me unable to read without horrific “migraine” (but way worse) headaches and vertigo. No fluorescent light tolerance, impaired short-term memory and constant overwhelm obliterated graduate school as an option, even with disability accommodations.

Instead, I got thrown into the “gifts” I ran from as a child — the ability to “read” the mental, emotional, spiritual and other energies affecting physical health. Indeed, I could not do anything else. After three and a half years of total disability, I finally agreed to become a professional medical intuitive. Not because I wanted to, but because it became clear life would brook no other choice. I surrendered, dove in, and the career grew by referrals and repeat clients. I still don’t advertise, and I have no social media accounts. Clients just find continue to me.

It’s very right brain work, and I feel grateful to have helped so many people over the past seventeen years. Truly, I feel honored to walk this path with so many people in deep transitions and crises. Nonetheless, my left brain healed, and now the writing wants out. Becoming fluent in the language of astrology feels like the integration my soul has craved since birth. I can finally give my left brain something to chomp on, while the code-cracker in me translates body to soul language, but also soul to body and beyond. My right brain dream interpreting, vision receiving, telepathic, storytelling self can still thrive, but she’ll have company from her left brain mate that’s felt home bound all these years.

As a Gemini with Virgo Rising and an Aquarius Moon — a person with four planets in Gemini, two ruled by Mercury, and nine planets in Air, you could say I had an overly developed mind pre-TBI. Um, OK, let’s call that a cosmic understatement! I’ve always said my TBI is the best thing that ever happened to me. I wouldn’t wish it on anyone, but what a fabulous chance to rewire me back to soulful living. That injury mercifully and ruthlessly destroyed my mind, forcing me into the Underworld of subconscious, Shadow, and deep initiation. It prepared me to guide others through their own Plutonian depths.

Yet now — to the delight and relief of my deepest soul longing — I realize my TBI did not remove that mind forever. It did not kick my left brain permanently to the netherworld of house husband while my right brain gets all the glory. My life changing injury destroyed neither the scholar nor the storyteller. It just detoured me so that I could heal and gather wisdom from within and beyond. It gave me something to write about, and it made me appreciate the journey instead of only striving for the destination. It softened and diversified me to love the dots and the pointillist paintings they create — to look at meta-pictures, tiny moments and the scope of individual lives across millenia.

In short, my injury let me be me, and for that I feel unending gratitude.

Ann Kreilkamp ~ Concrete, Irrevocable Shifts: The “Feel” of Capricorn

This is a great piece written by Ann Kreilkamp, way back in 1989. Although written nearly thirty years ago, this piece sheds much light on our current times, especially with the decisive shift of Saturn into its home sign of Capricorn on December 19, 2017. I’ve mentioned this many times on this blog and in sessions, as those “concrete, irrevocable shifts” keep making themselves known. It often feels like realities are splitting, and perhaps they are … or maybe it just feels that way as people make repeat decisions in one direction that triggers action regardless of what their words say.

In any case, I highly recommend this article for anyone who sensed a shift in mid-December. It will also speak to anyone who has a strong Capricorn, Saturn or Pluto presence in their astrological chart. I’ve got both Saturn and Pluto in strong positions, with Cappy North Node (oops, I accidentally typed “rising” in the first version of this post; it’s Capricorn North Node), so it’s no surprise I’ve finally hunkered down to write this deep book on the metaphysics and underworld journey of Lyme disease. I know others stepping into intentions they made long ago, as things now align to support that call to action.

Not everyone appreciates or understands astrology. No worries if you don’t. I just find astrological insights very confirming of my own intuitive sense of life and events, and I know many clients and readers do, too. Since I am not, myself, an astrologer, I like to point to good articles when I find them. Click here for Ann’s deep dive into the “feel” of Capricorn.

Common But Lesser Known Health Tips and Medical Intuitive Observations

This May 2013 post wants to go up again today.

Laura Bruno's Blog

Two categories of people tend to call me for Medical Intuitive Sessions: those who’ve been injured and/or ill for many years (sometimes decades) with no effective diagnosis and/or treatment … and those people who keep top notch tabs on their health and already know that every physical ailment has a mental, emotional, spiritual or energetic trigger. The second group tends to call very early in their health journey, usually right after their own arsenal of natural remedies and meditations fails to bring relief.

Lately, I’ve received many calls from a third category of clients, and I attribute this to the increased Awakening on our planet. These clients also exhibit “medical mystery” symptoms, but, unlike the first group, they’ve only been ill or injured for weeks rather than years. Pending interest, my sweet Faery Twin Tania Marie and I are also in early stages of planning a visit and possible co-hosted 11/11 workshop at Lake Tahoe. Details below.

REIKI LEVEL 1 CERTIFICATION CLASS

Reiki (pronounced “RAY-key”) is an ancient method of healing from Tibet. “Rei” means “universal” and “ki” corresponds to the “life force energy” known as Chi or prana in other Eastern systems like acupuncture or yoga. Thus, Reiki refers to the healing qualities of “universal life force energy.” Rediscovered in the late 19th century by a Japanese monk named Mikao Usui, Reiki works on physical, mental and emotional levels, restoring balance to body, mind and spirit. After completing this workshop, students will be certified Reiki 1 practitioners.

Instruction includes:

• History, nature, and science of Reiki.

• The Reiki Principles, Precepts & Ethics

• Experiencing Reiki energy

• Discussion of 21-day cleanse

• Essence scanning process

• Giving a Reiki treatment with hand positions

• Practice self-treatment hand positions

• Treating animals and plants

• What a Reiki lineage represents

• Legal responsibilities as a Reiki Practitioner

• Reiki Level 1 Attunement(s)

The Faery Twins are planning a visit this Fall, and we thought that maybe, just maybe we’d co-host a workshop. Possible topics include: Faeries, Manifestation, Manifesting with the Faeries, Tuning into Nature, Everyday Magic, or some other inspiration TBA. We’re just putting out feelers right now. If we offer it, the class would occur on Sunday, 11/11/18 at Tania and Dave’s beautiful home and land in Lake Tahoe. Please let us know if you’re interested.

Catherine Grace O ~ Disrupting Menopause Naturally

I want to direct people to an excellent, comprehensive post by Catherine Grace O’Connell with Functional Nutrition expert Leona West. Most people think of hot flashes and weight gain with menopause or even perimenopause, but there are sooooooo many other symptoms! I very often nudge clients to ask their doctor to test their female hormones even if the symptoms seem to be about something else. Dry eyes, vision changes, missing words, memory lapses, heart palpitations, UTI’s, insomnia … the list of potential menopausal symptoms goes on and on. If you’re a woman over 35 and especially if you’ve already hit menopause, I highly recommend this article.

How to Become a Healer Dog

Getting a new dog is always a highly emotional event. You’re happy to have a new puppy but there’s still a big ragged hole in your heart for your former canine companion. When I got Dixie on August 7, 2016, I had been dogless for about 12 heartbreaking days. During that difficult time without a […]

Watch “March 2018 Energy Update – Lee Harris” on YouTube

Thanks to Lee Harris for the video report and to Dawn for the write-up. I definitely agree on both the creativity and the body response to people pleasing. Our bodies are excellent guides if we can’t decide. I call it “bumper bowling” when symptoms erupt to keep us more firmly on path. If we give ourselves permission just to follow our path without needing an excuse, then the bumpers (symptoms) don’t need to inflate.

Deer Heart Reiki Blog

Lee shares what the energy is about this month.

We need to check in with ourselves in regards to people pleasing. Coming up allot for people and releasing that. When we agree to do something but our body is not in alignment with that it’s a key that we are people pleasing.

Also noted was conflict. Conflicting opinions, sharp edges where that’s concerned. Lee suggested to focus on the positive outcome of change and not what is dissolving, which will help to ride the wave of creativity into the newer realms.

Lastly, creativity assists in allowing us to come into our purpose as we are all needed. Now through June there will be lots of focus on our intent and execution of what that might look like.

Thanks so much Lee Harris.
